Just as art shows are beginning to get going again, I took a wrong step and blew out my achilles. I'd like to say it was something exciting, like saving my wife from a mountain lion or rescuing my puppy... ok, it's kind of his fault, but mostly my own for turning 50.
I was walking our 10 pound puppy, Ozzie and he jerked the leash out of my hand to go see my wife, who had stopped to talk to the neighbors. It being Santa Fe and coyote country, I lunged for him.
POP SPLAT POOF into the dirt.
It was a total rupture, so I'm down for the count, flip flopping around in the dust like a flounder on a dock.
If you have ever been in the market for my work, let's do this! I have made some incredible custom paintings for some clients this past year; exploring different themes and color.
Keep your family safe, but if you have to be quarantined with them, please consider redecorating your walls so that you have something to look at. Seriously, don't stare at your significant other. It's creeping them out.
I hope to get back out and show my work again at festivals around the country soon! Old Town Chicago and Des Moines are all on the early parts of my schedule. They have their permits and are a GO.
